It's time to sign your child up for the 20th annual Fairfax County Summer Band Camp (FCSBC) held at Frost Middle School. Formerly known as The Frost-Robinson Summer Band Camp, the FCSBC provides 2 weeks of top-notch instrumental music instruction to students entering grades 5-10 in the 2010-11 school year.
Our camp is staffed with professional music teachers who will work with your child in 3 seperate classroom settings including instrument specif methods, music sectionals and a full band rehearsal each and every day.
The FCSBC offers four levels of instruction and ABSOLUTE beginners are welcome. The extensive training of our beginning band program will have your child performing at an advanced elementary school level when they enter school in the fall! It's a great way to get a head start on a musical instrument.
All family and friends are invited to the end-of-camp concert that will knock your socks off!! All the bands, including the beginners, will perform selections that have been worked on at camp and there is no doubt that you will be impressed and PROUD of what you hear.
Due to the late end date of school and many staff members performing in Europe the week of July 12 our camp will be offered for 2 weeks rather than 3. All participants will still receive fabulous instruction and performance opportunities and we will present a final concert on the evening of July 9. We hope this shortened camp won't prevent many of you from signing up!!
